One color, one black and white machine. The good old fashioned variety. B&W results range from ah igh contrast "film noir" look to a sepia toned "rustic settler" look, depending on what day you go. |

St. (just before Castro) Uncle Maime's. the best little random store ever. |
four black and white photos (everyone looks better in B&W) for $3.00. The wait is maybe five minutes and the strip smells like rotten eggs when its finished but still a little wet. dont worry, it goes away. ask the guy/gal at the counter and he/she'll give you a little baggie that looks like an old peanuts or popcorn bag to put your photos in for safe keeping. all the best strips ive ever done came from Uncle Maimes. |

Valencia Street It's inside the "Elbo Room" which is a bar in SF. It's inside...past the first group of tables, before the bar, in a hallway on the right side. If you can't find it....just ask. |
$2...and the wait depends on how many people in the bar want to have their pic's taken in a photo-booth. What normally happens is: there's no wait....and then I/someone goes and takes photo's in the booth...after I return, EVERYONE wants to. That's when it can become a tiresome wait. |

Street The First one on Haight Street!!! My apologies, but I don't know the name of the store. However, I can tell you EXACTLY where it is!!! It is on the Haight Street (cross street Clayton) and across the street from Haight Natural Foods and next to Kid's Only (Geez...after that you'd think I'd know at least know the name of the store). Anyway the window always has Elvis, Betty Boop and Curious George stuff...You'll know it when you see it! |
Namco 16 color stickers, $ 3.00 and lately there's usually at least one or two people using the machine, but it's not nearly as bad as say...the Sanrio store in Union Square, San Francisco. Has nice "touristy" borders like the Golden Gate Bridge, "hippy" borders, such as the Haight/Ashbury Street Sign, "Mushrooms" (oh yeah, those are pretty much everywhere), but also your standard "cutesy" borders. |
